Just like every productive year, Apple never ceases to amaze the world with its new releases. Annually, the company holds three to four events circulating around latest releases and technology where thousands of attendees get lucky enough to go to. This year, while June welcomed a spring event, a September event will be focused on iPhone, Apple Watch, and much more is predicted.

What is WWDC 2019?

The Worldwide Developers Conference is a conference by Apple Inc. which is organized annually. The company uses this event to gather all enthusiasts, media, professionals and many more to showcase its new products, softwares and technological developments.

June Event

Apple’s yearly WWDC talked about a little of key development – from iOS 13 to macOS 10.15. This is what we heard:

iOS 13

In iOS 13, here’s what’s announced:

  • Apple iOS 13 features Dark mode, Performance Improvements, Swipe Keyboard named QuickPad. It also revamped old versions of the Reminders App and Apple Maps.
  • Apple announced Apple ID. Users can use this to ‘Sign in With Apple’ for Apps.
  • Apple showcased a new method to browse photos and added editing with iOS 13.
  • The new iOS 13 will let you install apps with a bigger size over Cellular.

macOS 10.15

In macOS 10.15, Apple has been set to expand in functionality and allow apps to be made for iPad to be easily transferred to over to macOS. The sad news is that the macOS 10.15 won’t be supporting 32-bit apps, so you can expect some of your old apps to stop working.

  • Apple introduces ‘macOS Catalina’ with separate music, podcasts and TV applications.
  • The new ‘Find My’ App by Apple is set to be released for macOS and iOS where users can locate their devices even if they’re not connected to the Internet.
  • Sidecar App is announced for using an iPad as a Mac’s secondary display tool for users.
  • The Voice Control accessibility is supposed to be introduced in both Mac and iOS.
  • Apple shows the first beta test of macOS 10.15 Catalina to enthusiasts and developers.

watchOS 6

The watchOS 6 by Apple Inc. is set to include an Apple Watch App Store. This will allow users globally to download applications through their Apple wrist watch. Below are more releases:

  • WatchOS 6 is unveiled with a dedicated App Store.
  • It’s getting new health features that also include the Noise and Menstrual Cycle Tracking app.

Other Announcements

Other than the above, there were also hardware announcements that made it to the WWDC. These are below:

  • HomeKit is going to be incorporated to routers which will have the new ‘Secure Video’ feature.
  • Apple unveiled the making of ‘Smart Glasses’ that are going to make VR dreams come true.
  • Apple showcases the ARKit 3 which includes the immersive people occlusion feature, RealityKit, and others.
  • The new SwiftUI framework building App interfaces will be using less codes than usual.

September Event

For Apple’s September event, there are various rumors already spreading around and just like every September event, Apple will use this one to unveil new iPhones and Apple Watch models. Here are the predictions:

2019 iPhones

In 2019, this year, enthusiasts and experts are expecting the release of three new iPhones. Rumors say that the two OLED models two OLED models (XS and XS Max seccessors) along with one LED model (XR successor) will have no significant design changes.

Then again, the best part is that the iPhone XS and XS Max next-in-line will include new triple-lens cameras which will offer ultra-wide angle shots for photography and selfie lovers. Other than that, the iPhone XR will feature a new dual-lens camera system.

While all of this is also getting fans on the edge of their seats, there’s more. An A13 chip along with faster LTE and WiFi, batteries with more capacity, and wireless charging feature will be released in stores with the 2019 iPhones.

Apple Watch Series 5

While many fans are saying that the latest Watch series will include more slim and transparent features, others suggest the Apple Watch Series 5 will be showcased with a new ceramic casing design instead. If this is true, it will mark a new return of the Apple Watch Edition. Besides that, there’s a lot more that’s in store for fans around the globe in 2019.

Whilst new health features have been included in the list of rumors, such as non-invasive blood glucose monitoring for diabetic patients, a micro-LED display is said to be more of a possibility.

Conclusion:

There is a lot more that Apple will have in works and it will take quite some time before the company either confirms these rumors or showcases something better. These also include a high-end modular Mac Pro, a 6K Apple Display, refreshed iPad Pro models, and much more in the future. However, it’s unlikely that we’ll be hearing about them any time soon as there has been no confirmation from the company’s side. We will wish as fans to be more exciting features from Apple.
