Apple fans have always big expectations, what’s coming next is the question that always is on their minds. Apple’s analyst Ming-Chi Kuo published a list of products Apple is expected to launch in 2019. Whereas Apple Insider takes a look at the hardware list and spills out which could potentially be in the user’s hands before the end of this year.
AIR PODS 2
Expected to launch in the first 6 months of 2019 or at latest near fall season. The second generation may come with a black color option alongside white. It is that extra grip in the ear is expected, via a change in its coating rather than by physical design alterations.
16-INCH MACBOOK PRO
Undoubtedly the most interesting MacBook Pro (reportedly) coming down the pike is the 16-inches.That rumored 2019 MacBook was summarily canceled this past week and then renounced to launch it again (because of a mistranslation of the Chinese).
It is indeed still on track. The massive MacBook would fall somewhere between 16- and 16.5 inches in size as disclosed by several Apple enthusiast sites earlier this year.
IPAD MINI 5
Apple in March 2019 refreshed the iPad mini, introducing the fifth-generation version four years after the release of the iPad mini 4. According to the update, it wasn’t clear if Apple was going to keep the 7.9-inch tablet around, but it now has a solid place in the company’s iPad lineup.
There are no design changes compared to the previous iPad mini. There are thick bezels at the top and bottom of the iPad mini 5 along with slimmer side bezels.
2019 IPHONE
Apple is expected to release three iPhones this fall, following a similar pattern to the 2018 releases, with two OLED models joined by a cheaper iPhone XR-style LCD model. This could be the last generation to use LCD before Apple moves completely over to OLED in 2020, though it is also possible the shift could happen this year.
The triple camera setup is tipped to appear on the rear, which could include the ability to produce depth maps similar to the front-facing True Depth camera in current-generation models. The front True Depth camera could get an upgrade, making it capable of producing a 10-megapixel image. It is suggested there could be bilateral wireless charging, allowing an iPhone to provide charge to another device. Other new additions could be larger batteries, a frosted glass casing, and support for UWB (ultra-wideband) for navigation.
2019 MAC PRO
Apple declaring support of the new Mac Pro through a press release for the iMac Pro sale date nearly two years ago and you might not know much about it. However, Apple has recognized the public demand for a Mac Pro 2019 by hinting that it’s working on a ‘modular’ and ‘upgradeable’ Mac Pro.
APPLE PROFESSIONAL 6K DISPLAY
Apple will take the opportunity to come up with a luxurious new 31.6-inch 6K display as part of a tease for the remake Mac Pro. After decades of continuous monitor production. This could be a mark on Apple’s return to the world of display tech. The last time the company released an Apple-branded display was in 2011 and it discontinued its display line to third-parties like LG in 2016.
SEVENTH GENERATION IPAD
The design is tipped to take place which possibly has borrowed elements from the iPad Pro design. The well-known 9.7-inch display is expected to increase in size possibly measuring 10.2 inches. Though it is likely the overall device size won’t grow as much. Smart Keyboard support is touted for the model and allowing the accessory to connect in a similar way to the iPad Pro range. Even with the changes, it is probable that the iPad will continue to use Touch ID, not Face ID.
IPAD PRO
Apple has been showing a lot of love for its iPads recently. The latest rumor of what comes next for the iPad Pro may affect next year’s iPhones too. Following the previous model updates, Apple is thought to ship two models of the iPad Pro as part of its usual refresh, with upgraded processors. Apple last updated the iPad Pro in October 2018 with new exterior design, and Face ID.
AIRPOWER
Originally slated for launch in 2018, but now expected to launch in the first half of 2019. Allows up to three devices to wirelessly charge at the same time, such as an iPhone, Apple Watch, and an Air Pods charging case.
APPLE WATCH SERIES 5
The apple watch series 5 is rumored to reintroduce in the market with a ceramic body after being dropped from the Series 4 roster.
IPOD TOUCH
Excited for launch at some point in 2019? But wait, there is no strong indication made to when the seventh-generation iPod Touch will make an appearance. No details about changes have emerged, except for speculation that it will have an upgraded processor.
